God’s Incommunicable Attributes & Life

In my previous post, I talked about how we can imitate God by applying His communicable attributes to our daily lives and in our relationships within our family.

But how can we apply God’s incommunicable attributes to our lives and family life? It is not so much about applying them, as though we can imitate them, but more about connecting these truths to our lives and family relationships. Take the truth about God being the only absolute independent, Sovereign Creator ex nihilo (out of nothing) for example, and connect this to life and family relationships.

Are you desiring children?  God is the only One who creates life.
(John 1:1-3)
Are you or a family member sick?  God necessarily sustains what He creates.
(Acts 17:24-26)
Did your car get wrecked?  The God who provides life can surely take care of a vehicle.
(Matt. 6:19-34)
Do you have money or job problems?  God needed nothing but Himself to create the universe, nor does He need our money or job to create security and satisfaction in our lives and for our families.
(Phil. 4:4-20)

These are just a few practical thoughts for connecting the truth of who God is as our Creator to our everyday lives. The point is, we can and should connect all of who the LORD is to all of our situations and issues.
