I love this book, the Jesus Storybook Bible. You know why I love it? It is because in every Bible story the hero is always Jesus; the Rescuer that would come, the Rescuer that has come.

I don’t know how many times the boys and I have sat down to read these same stories over and over again. But they never grow old, because the power of the “story” is so timeless; people need to be rescued, people need God. God has used this little book to help me as a Dad lead my family to be on mission. My heart is in the 2009 St. Louis FamilyCamp because our stated vision is Reaching the World, Reforming the Church, by Restoring the Family.

One of the greatest joys of a father is his children and family connected with God’s mission on earth of making the name of His Son famous and making the gospel known to all peoples.
