The Christ-Centered Family
What is the meaning and purpose of the family? The family is meant for more than just the health of the individuals in it. And the family was created for more than the good of the society. Since the family was invented and instituted by God and for God, the ultimate end of every family is to glorify Him. The focus—the center—of the family is to be the worship of Jesus Christ, not as a means to further the good of the family, but as an end in itself. With countless things, both good and bad, competing for the attention of your family and so much confusion about how to successfully navigate these innumerable opportunities and challenges, families need help in turning and keeping their focus on Christ. We need to see and show how the family is meant for the glory of God in Christ. We want to be a part of helping fix the gaze of families on the true center of all of life; Jesus Christ! This is our focus for FamilyCamp 2010.
