Musical Guest

The Great Romance

The Great Romance is made up of four individuals (Matt Vollmar - lead vocals, Andrew Schneider - bass, Matt Stephens - lead guitar, and Geoff Gracey - drums) who love Christ and hope to share that love with others. The band name comes from a strong desire for people to get to know God on a more intimate level. TGR does this by sharing their ministry through music and using that music to open the doors for building relationships with young and old alike.

After their most successful year to date, which included opening up for some of today's biggest Christian acts (Lincoln Brewster, Charlie Hall, Shane and Shane, and David Crowder), a summer tour that covered New Jersey to Calinfornia and releasing their full length album "Our Hearts,” 2012 looks to be an even bigger year for TGR and their ministry.

Their full length album "Our Hearts" continues to be the bands favorite project they've done to date, working with amazing producers (Dove Award Winner Rusty Varenkamp:10th Ave. North, Toby Mac and Allen Salmon: Mute Math, Sactus Real) and song writers (Dove McKelvey: Switchfoot, Jason Gray).

One song off the album, "Empty Hands,” made it to the top 10 in Chris Tomlin's songwriting contest for 2011.

The Great Romance play concerts and leads worship at camps and retreats. They feel that the greatest relationship anyone can have is with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is their mission to share that message with the world through music.
